Mary Lou Gahan, 76, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Pleasant View. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4 p.m. She was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Ottawa, to Charles and Gertrude (Bayer) Arnold. She married James Gahan on July 2, 1955. He died April 5, 1992. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. Survivors include three sons,Jerry (Lisa) and Mark Gahan and Tom (Donna) McNamara, all of Ottawa; grandchildren, Kristy and Jeremy Gahan and Katelyn and Mackenzie McNamara; one sister, Kay (Mike) Allen of Ottawa; and two brothers, Jack (Dianne) Arnold of Marion and William "Bill" Arnold of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tom Gahan; two sisters, Gertrude Barron and Eileen Pearson; and a brother, Robert Arnold. Pallbearers will be Dennis and Brian Allen, Tom Nixon, Katelyn and Mackenzie McNamara, Jeremy and Kristy Gahan and Keith McGinnis. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church or the donor's choice.
