Mary K. Esmond, 90, of Ottawa passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Pleasant View. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2014 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 2:00 pm with the Catholic Daughter's of the Americas. She will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery. Mary was born July 21, 1923 in Rutland Township to Timothy and Lucretia (Armstrong) Kelly. She married Donald Esmond on January 12, 1946; he died January 5, 2008. She worked for Wecks automobile dealership and retired from Weber Insurance Company, She was a member of St. Columba Church, Catholic Daughter's of the Americas, American Legion Women's Auxiliary, VFW Women's Auxiliary, charter member of pink ladies at Ryburn King Hospital, Sons of Norway, and numerous bridge clubs throughout the years. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Warren, two grandchildren, Aimee (William) Barth and Todd M. (Stacy) Warren Jr.; one step-grandson, Howard Warren Jr; four great-grandchildren, Zachary and Noah Barth and Sophia and Olivia Warren; and two step great-grandchildren, Jeremy & Nathan Warren She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Esmond; and one sister, Rita Jean Kelly. Pallbearers will be Todd, Howie, and Jeremy Warren, Bill and Zach Barth, and Pat Crawford. Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Church restoration fund or American Cancer Society.
