CRYSTAL LAKE -- Mary "Roberta" Case, 89, of Crystal Lake, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Friday, July 18, at The Fountains at Crystal Lake. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Lourduraj Ignatius officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Ottawa, to Floyd and Grace (Lysaght) Lawrence. She married Frank Case on Jan. 27, 1941, at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. He passed away Jan. 29, 2003. She was a clerk for the City of Ottawa and a member of St. Patrick's Church and Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors include two daughters, Laurie (Robert) Carlen of Cary and Mary Jane (Carl) Hanson of Harvard; one son, F. Lawrence "Larry" (Sharon) of Cary; nine grandchildren, Dionne, Gregory and Ryan Case, Rob and Brittany Carlen and Carrie, Blair, Corey and Shane Cibuls; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremy and Kaley Mehlman, Bill Blank and Brody Case. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Darcy Lynn Carlen. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
