Mary Ann (Hoben) Jensen, 78 of Galena, formerly of Seneca, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Galena Stauss Senior Care Community. Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca with Rev. Stanislaus Mutajwaha officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca with prayers at 2:00. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Seneca. Mary Ann was born November 15, 1933 in Morris, Illinois to Gerald Martin and Mary Emmons (Wilcox) Hoben. She married Richard Bates Jensen at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca. He died in 1979. Mary Ann was a member of St. Patrick's Church while growing up in Seneca. She worked as a grade school teacher in Country Club Hills until her retirement. She is survived by three sons, William (Elia) of Chicago, Richard (Carrie) of Edina, MN, and Gerald of Chicago; two daughters, Julia (Thomas) Hoffmann of Rockledge, FL, Katherine (James) Haddon of Scottsdale, AZ; seven grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Martin (Ireta) Hoben of Las Cruces, NM; and one sister, Patricia Daniels of Fort Myers, FL.
