Mary Ann Brown, 84, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 surrounded by her family in her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Tony Fevlo officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Wednesday at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Champaign, IL. Mary Ann was born August 6, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Norman and Marie (Gannon) Randall. She married Norman B. Brown on November 27, 1954 at St. John's Catholic Church in Champaign, IL. He passed away July 13, 1995. Mary Ann retired from the Champaign school system as a speech and language pathologist. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Ottawa. Mary Ann volunteered for the Champaign County Humane Society, Pet Project, Community Hospital of Ottawa, St. Patrick School and United Way Labor of Love. She is survived by one daughter, Mary (Mike) Driscoll of Ottawa, one son, Bill (Sue) Brown of Vernon Hills, IL; two grandchildren, Mary Ann (John) Kaminski of Chicago, Katie Driscoll of Ottawa; her devoted caregiver Teresa Klejszta; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Mary Marlene Sharkey of Webster, NY and her niece and nephews, Mary Marlene, Chuck and Kevin and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa 726 W.
