Mark Anthony "Moses" Grammer, 66, of Naplate, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his home.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with military honors. All that attend the visitation and funeral are asked to wear their favorite Cubs attire. Burial will be in Grand Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

Mark was born November 23, 1956, in Ottawa, IL, to Dale and Margaret (Panko) Grammer. He married Kim Klein July 6, 2013 in New Orleans, LA. She passed away October 11, 2022.

He attended Marquette High School and later joined the United States Navy. He worked for over 30 years as a boilermaker for Local 1 in Chicago. When he wasn't working, he loved to fish his "honey holes" or the canal in Utica. He was a diehard Cubs fan and an avid Bears fan. He was very competitive with his garden. He would compete with his neighbor to see who could grow the biggest vegetables. He also enjoyed working in his yard and having a cold beer after a long day. He had a soft spot for all of his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and people gravitated to him.

He is survived by his children, Charity Grammer, Mark "DJ" (Crystal) Grammer, Lacey (Nick) Spencer, and Cody (Stephanie) Grammer; his grandchildren, Teah and Trenton Schulthesis, Nicholas and Natalie Clepper, Dylan Grammer, Alan and Gabe Spencer, and Gunner, Isak, Owen, and Cole Grammer; 2 great grandchildren, his step children, Angela (Mike) Moreno, Rachel (Travis) Knott, and Natalie (Gabriel) Newbury; his step grandchildren, Kaylor Speirer, Aaron, Briar, Isabel Dunne, Deacon and Lennon Knott, Jace, Jax Addis and Jonah Newbury; his sisters, Gail Thompson, Peggy Freeman, Erica Grammer, and Sarah Cook; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kim Grammer; his grandparents, Mary and Anton Panko; his sisters, Cindy Harden and Greta Erickson; his brother, Matt Grammer; and his nephew, Luke Grammer.
