Marjorie Schomas

OTTAWA -- Marjorie A. Schomas, 76, of Ottawa, died Monday, Jan. 14, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. Miss Schomas was born April 8, 1931, in Ottawa, to Vincent and Catherine (Dwyer) Schomas. She graduated from St. Xavier's High School in 1949 and from Ryburn King Hospital of Nursing in 1953. She worked for Ryburn King Hospital in Ottawa and later for the Delanore Hospital in St. Charles. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by a brother, Bernard Schomas Sr. of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Schomas. Memorials may be directed to Hospice or Pet Project.
