Marjorie Henneke

Marjorie E. Henneke, 91, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor David E. Daniel officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to services on Wednesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in West Serena Cemetery at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with her services. Marjorie was born January 28, 1924 in Ottawa, Illinois to Joseph Sr. and Elsie (Saager) Pray. She married Delmar Henneke on August 3, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church and the Moose Lodge. Delmar and Marj loved traveling but she hated being away from her grandkids. They loved Cloud Nine Missouri, fishing down in the timber, and card games with friends. Marj always sacrificed for her family. She is survived by one son, Delmar "Chuck" (Sally) Henneke; one daughter, Janis Walker; her grandchildren, Sean (Maggie) Walker, Aaron (Mindie) Walker, Phillip (Rosie) Walker, Kane (Heather) Henneke, and Kelly Palmer; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald (Hazel) Hite. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar; her parents; and one brother, Joe Pray Jr. Pallbearers will be Sean, Aaron, and Phillip Walker, and Kane Henneke. Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Michael Walker and Drew Walker. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
