Marion Chase

Marian Chase, 90, of Ottawa, died Saturday, June 13 at 10:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM Thursday at St.Columba Church with the Rev. Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to7 PM Wednesday at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St.Columba Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Marian was born February 17, 1919, in Ottawa, IL to Luke and Margaret (Wolfe) Finnerty. She married Donald Chase August 21, 1939 at St. Columba Church. He died February 3, 1989. Marian was a member of St. Columba Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Elks. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (John) Beyer of Pontiac and Joanne (Fred) Jovanovich of Ottawa; eleven grandchildren, George (Lynette) Limberis, Magda (Bill) Nelson, Don (Kelly) Limberis, Jim (Rose) Limberis, Tom (Mary) Limberis, Paula (Geoff) Hietpas, Stephanie (Chad) Walden, Alison Beyer, Tony (Julie) Jovanovich, Brad (Denise) Jovanovich, Jean (Wayne) Sirek; and twenty seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Nan Limberis, and a sister, Paula Finnerty. Marian loved her family, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Marquette High School, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or donor's choice.
