Marilyn J. Garcia, 78, of Ottawa passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Ottawa Pavilion Nursing Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Bladen officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Marilyn was born November 7, 1939 in Ottawa, Illinois to Norman and Margueritte (Dwyer) Blakley. She married Richard Munks in 1957 in Ottawa, Illinois. She then married Christable Garcia in 1980 in Ottawa, Illinois; he passed away November 5, 2017. She loved to draw, write poetry, do crossword puzzles and cook but most of all she loved her family. She is survived by her two sons, Richard "Tim" (Zue) Munks of Frisco, Texas and Dennis (Christy) Munks of Creal Springs, IL; four grandchildren, Jake, Alex, Haidyn, and Max Munks; and one sister, Dolores Murphy of Ottawa. She is preceded in death by her parents.
