Marie Sexton, 93, of Ottawa, Illinois died November 20, 2012 at LaSalle Country Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with Rev. Joseph Donton officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Prayers with Catholic Daughters of Americas will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Marie was born November 28, 1918, in Waltham Township to Vincent and Florence J. (O'Connor) Aubry. She married Thomas F. Sexton on April 18, 1938 at St. Mary's Church in Utica. He died July 23, 1995. She and her husband owned and operated Sexton Sanitary Hauling until her retirement in 1992. She was very generous to customers in need. Marie dearly loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The little ones always brought a smile to her face. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Catholic Daughters of Americas and AARP. She is survived by three sons, Gerald (Mary) Sexton, Bernie (Cindy) Sexton, and Don Sexton, all of Ottawa; two daughters, Marlene (late Donald) Bruck of Ottawa and Elaine (late Walter) Lester of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Michael (Peggy), James (Michelle), Jeff and Alison Sexton, Christina, Sherry (Paul), and Rich Tipton, Timothy (Lisa) and Randy Lester, and Jackie (Louie) Gama; great grandchildren, Erin, Mary, Sean, and Josh Sexton, Cassie and Rachael Tipton, Nichole and Shane Lester, Dustin and Marissa Gama; great great grandchildren, Kylin Buckingham and Michael Jessen; a sister, Helen Spaulding of Ottawa; and a brother, Harold (Marge) Aubry of Utica. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas F.; a son Thomas R. Sexton; her brothers, Vincent and Ray Aubry; and her sisters, Evelyn McGinnis and Irene Donahue. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to the family.
