Marie Pool

OTTAWA -- B. Marie Pool, 87, of Ottawa, died Sunday, Nov. 11, at La Salle County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Katcher, Chaplain for Ottawa Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pool was born April 21, 1920, in Louisville, Ky., to James A. and Mary Lee (Knott) Mattingly. She married Floyd G. Pool on April 2, 1937, in Aurora. He died Nov. 7, 1978. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Ottawa Women's Club and Kappa, Kappa Sigma. She is survived by a daughter, Barb J. Pool of Ottawa; a son, Steven (Joy) Pool of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Chuck (Arlene) and Dawn M. Eichelkraut, David (Kathy) Pool and Pamela (Chris) Rausch; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Steven Eichelkraut, Nicole and Lindsay Rausch and Alison Pool; five stepgreat-grandchildren, Beth, Michael and Patrick Conry and Donny and Kristin Heiman. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Chuck and Joseph; and three sisters, Francis, Nema and Martina. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
