Marie (Skoflanc) O'Shea, 84, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away January 16, 2013 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with Rev. Joseph Donton officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Marie was born May 23, 1928 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Michael and Mary (Perovsck) Skoflanc. She married Thomas (Jim) O'Shea in August of 1954 at St. Francis Church. He passed away in 1985. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and Catholic Daughters of Americas. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Mattingly of St. Louis, Sue (Jon) Allen of Marseilles, and Patti (Rocco) O'Shea-Paris of Grand Ridge; two sons, Dan (Kathy) O'Shea of Ottawa and Tom O'Shea of Ottawa; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers, Michael Skoflanc and Henry (Hank) Skoflanc. Pallbearers will be Jon Allen, Justin Allen, Nick Allen, Rocco Paris, Charlie Mattingly, and Rob Reiner. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Church.
