Marie Rose Monterastelli

Marie Monterastelli, 88, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Marie was born September 26, 1924, in Standard, Illinois to Roger and Theresa (Riva) Bernardini. She married Guerino Monterastelli on September 20, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in Naplate. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2004. She was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by two sons, James (Vicki) of Tonica and Mark (Linda) of Hoffman Estates; five grandchildren, Joshua (Marianne), Daniel, and Michael Monterastelli, Jessie (Mike) Hunter and Michelle (Greg) Ransom; seven great grandchildren; Kaden, Hunter, Mia, Isreal, Carter, Alyssa, and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guerino; three brothers, August, Angelo, and John Bernardini. Pallbearers will be Michael, Daniel, Joshua, Hunter, and Kaden Monterastelli, and Mike Hunter. Memorials may be directed to Horizon House.
