Marian K. Mossey, 86, of Ottawa, died Friday, Feb. 4, at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at St. Patrick Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Jules Adator officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Marian Mossey was born April 7, 1924, in Michigan City, Ind., to Andrew and Katherine (Nevin) Mossey. She retired from US Silica. She was a member of St. Patrick Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She is survived by sister-in-law, Margaret Mossey of Ottawa; three nephews, Pat (Carol) Mossey of Ottawa and Michael (Linda) Mossey and Joseph (Carlyn) Mossey, both of Lutz, Fla.; great-nieces, Lynn (Brett) Carroll of Ottawa and Stephanie Strong of Springfield, Mo.; great-nephew, Tim Mossey of Atlanta; and grandchildren, Kylie, John and Darby Carroll of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Mossey; great-nephew, Patrick Mossey Jr.; and special friend, Patrick Looney. Pallbearers will be Doug Carroll, John Carroll, Steve and Marty Kuhn, Tom Miller and Dave Wultzen. Memorials may be directed to the family.
