Marian C. Lowman, 90, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Ottawa Pavilion. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at St. Columba Church, with the Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Marian was born, January 1, 1922, in Wedron, Illinois, to George and Mary (Bohler) Lovell. She married Floyd C. Lowman on October 2, 1946 at St. Columba Church. He died January 26, 1987. She was a member of St. Patrick's and St. Columba Churches and a lifelong member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by one son, Arthur Lowman of Oglesby; three daughters, Joanne Brown of Bradenton, Florida, Pamela (Dale) Margis of Ottawa, and Sandra (William III) Zwanzig of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Shannon, Amy, Matthew, Jennifer, Melissa, and Brett, three step-grandchildren, Jamie, Amanda, and Jill; six great-grandchildren, Blake, Hannah, Jayden, Connor, Cameron, and Cooper. She loved spending time with her family, reading all her mystery books, and baking her famous fudge. She will be sadly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Charles and Johnny; two brothers, John Lovell and George Lovell; and two sisters, Mildred Richardson and Dorothy Melland. Pallbearers will be Dale Margis, William Zwanzig III, Grant Rhode, Blake Lowman, Bradley and David Stortz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew and Brett Brown. Memorials may be directed to the family.
