Marian Less

Marian Balint Less, 92 of Ottawa passed away Saturday December 27, 2008 at Ottawa Reginal Hospital and Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11 A.M. at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James, John, Christopher and Brady Stone, Jay, JJ, Rick and Frank Less. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 A.M. Tuesday December 30, 2008 at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Columba Church. She was born on October 5, 1916 at Ottawa, Illinois to Michael and Agnes (Mesarus) Balint. She married Frank John Less on September 5, 1953 at St. Columba Church. He passed away November 22, 2001. She is survived by one brother: Michael (Marian) Balint of Connecticut, two nephews: Allen (JoAnn) Stone of Ottawa and William (Sharon) Stone of Lenox Massachusetts, and two nieces: Melissa Nigro and Maureen Condert both of Connecticut. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister: Elizabeth Stone. She worked for 38 years in Sales for Milliners and Womens Wear. She was a member of St. Columba Church and their Altar & Rosary, Catholic Daughters of Americas, American Legion Auxiliary, Past President of LaSalle County Salons and AARP.
