Maria F. Mohlman

Maria F. Mohlman, 67, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, with her family by her side, at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.

A Celebration of Maria's life will be from 9 to 11 am, Saturday, July 27, at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, IL at a later date.

Maria was born to the late Roland and Anna (Ronfeldt) Foster on September 26, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Hononegah Community High School in 1968.

She was married to Robert Mohlman in 1971, and they lived together in Loves Park, IL for twenty years before she eventually relocated to Ottawa. Maria had a wonderful and witty sense of humor and loved to laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved spending time with and caring for her pets Abby and Spooky. She loved cooking, sewing, collecting teapots, and travelling.

Maria is survived by her two children, Jerry (Beverly) and Melody (Sophia Swallers) Mohlman; one grandson, Jacob; and her dear friends, Karen and Russ. She was preceded in death by her sister, Caroline, and her brother, Roy.
