Marguerite "Dollie" Anderson

Marguerite E. Anderson, 92, of Ottawa died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Rivershores Rehabilitation Center in Marseilles. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 9, 2010 at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 on Wednesday, December 8, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Marguerite was born March 28, 1918 in Assiniboia Saskatchewan, Canada to Daniel and Erma (Langley) Zucker. She married Abe Anderson May 29, 1941. He died January 28, 1971. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She was the longest resident of the Dougherty Manor 900 Paul St. from1963 to 2006. She is survived by two sons, Stephen (Sharon) of Florida, Thomas (Merrie) of Ottawa; four grandchildren Lori (Mike)Einhaus, Steve (Sandy) Anderson, Tommy and Melissa Anderson; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister Helen Shempert, and her niece Charlene Shempert, both of LaSalle. She is preceded in death by her husband, Abe; her parents; and one brother, Claude Zucker. Pallbearers will be Steven, Tommy, Sean & Steve Anderson, Chad Hackler and Trenton Einhaus. Memorials may be directed to the family.
