Margaret Theresa Green

Margaret Theresa Green, 77, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Pleasant View Lutheran Home.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 9:00am until 10:00am at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery.

Margaret was born August 24, 1948 in Ottawa, IL to Frank and Frances (Tomascheski) Grigg. She married the love of her life, Robert Green, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2019. She worked as a teacher at from 1970 until 2004 and was incredibly proud to give her students an educational foundation. She worked at McKinley, Shepherd, and Jefferson Schools.

She is survived by her caretakers and friends, Marlene Williams and Sue Prettyman; her special friends, Bekah Litchfield and Sergei Tehaika; as well as numerous other friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances; her husband, Robert; and her sister, Mary Ann Grigg.
