Maebert E. Kennedy, 100, of Ottawa, IL, died, Friday, October 1, 2010 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 am, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Maebert Kennedy was born July 16, 1910, in Oglesby, IL., Thomas and Mary Jane (Cox) Hocking. She married James Kennedy Sr. on November 6, 1942 at St. Joseph Church in LaSalle; he died January 10, 1992. She had worked for Westclocks. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. She is survived by one daughter Mary Ann Kennedy of Ottawa and one son James Kennedy Jr. of Ottawa three grandchildren Jason, Melissa and Joseph five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband five brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to donors' choice.
