Lynn M. Polen, 66, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at her home. Funeral Service for Lynn will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Lynn was born July 31, 1946, in Maywood, Illinois, to Leonard and Bernice (Jeschke) Ruda. She married John Polen on February 6, 1982 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa. She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Jeffrey (Lori) Cook of Ottawa and David (Eileen) Cook of Princeton; four grandchildren, Lucy, Heidi, Alex, and Allison; and one brother, Robert (Jane) Ruda. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Clarence Wignes, Clifford Wignes, Jeff Wignes, Kevin Miller, and Scott Holman. Memorials may be directed to donors' choice.
