Lyle P. Weber

Lyle P. Weber, 79, of Ottawa passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, December 12, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottawa, with Rev. Tony Fevlo officiating. Visitation will be from 1-4 pm on Sunday at Ottawa Funeral Home. He will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery.

Lyle was born July 24, 1937, in Triumph, Illinois, to Edward and Mary (Vogel) Weber.

Lyle owned and operated Weber Insurance Agency in Ottawa for many years. He was a member of the United States National Guard, a pilot, and a golfer. Lyle enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and especially spending time with his family and grandkids.

He is survived by two sons, David (Michelle) Maier and Kevin (Tricia) Maier, both of Chicago; one daughter, Karen (Steven) Mayse of Beloit, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Henry, Ellie, Oliver, Hadley, Smith, and McGregor; two brothers, James Weber and Edward (Doreen) Weber, both of Marseilles; two sisters, Regina (Roger) Myerson of Chicago, and Loretta (Robert) Cooney of River Forest; and many nieces and nephews, including his niece and caregiver Kathy Rosengren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.

Pallbearers will be Kevin and David Maier, Edward and Jim Weber, Robert Cooney, and Roger Myerson.
