Lucille E. Kennedy

Lucille E. Kennedy, 82, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Ottawa Pavilion. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Columba Church with Rev. Ronald Dodd officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00 with the Catholic Daughters of Americas in attendance. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. Lucille was born February 4, 1931 in Allen Township, Illinois, to Frank and Anna (Gulo) Gorman. She married Wilbert Kennedy on October 9, 1948, at St. Columba Church. He died June 24, 2005. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Women of the Moose and Catholic Daughters of Americas. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen (Gary) Tuftie; one son, David (Diane) Kennedy; three grandchildren, Scott Tuftie, Kara Ericzon, and Candice Kennedy; seven great grandchildren, Mackenzie Lowe, Carrington Schultz, Cade and Chloe Ericzon, Reese Jelm, Dylan and Austin Kennedy; and a sister-in-law, Theresa Nodland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilbert; a daughter, Patricia Tirevold; two grandsons, Matthew and Brett Kennedy; three brothers, Francis Gorman, Orville Gorman, and Robert Gorman; and two sisters, Mildred Fogarty and Evelyn Fogarty. Pallbearers will be Gary, Scott and Nicole Tuftie, James and Kara Ericzon, Candice Kennedy and Mackenzie Lowe. Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Renovation Fund.
