Louis "Jim" Vicich

Louis J. "Jim" Vicich, 78, of Oglesby, IL passed away on Monday, November 22,2021 at his home.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday, December 7, at Ottawa Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm, with Pastor Jon Wenger officiating.

Jim was born July 18, 1943 in Ottawa to Louis and Edna (Raikes) Vicich. He retired from Laborers Local 393. Jim was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed mushroom hunting, hiking, and taking walks.

He is survived by three children, Abby Gnagey of Missouri, Vicki (Danny) Apperson of Ottawa, and Jeff Vicich of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Isabella and Noah Vicich, Raven Gail (Mitch) Cox, and Joshua Beardsley; great-grandson, Jensen Cox; his siblings, Sheila Turner of Tennessee, Mike (Lori) Vicich, and Cathy Vicich-Hetelle, both of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jim Vicich; and siblings, Della Wawerski, Pat Vicich, and Connie Fox.
