Lorran Ruger

Lorran Ruger, 62, of Marseilles passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his home. Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Lorran was born April 20, 1951 in Joliet, Illinois to Thurman and Betty (Holt) Ruger. He served in the United States National Guard for seventeen years. He married Melanie Cooper July 3, 2006 in Ottawa, Illinois. He worked for Norton McMurray Chemical Company. He is survived by his loving wife, Melanie; three sons, Brad (Stephanie) Ruger, Eric (Brandy) Ruger, and Derek (Megan) Ruger; three step-sons, Mark Cozzi, Kevin Cozzi, and John Gurniak; nine grandchildren, Adrianna Ruger, Alexis Ruger, Bradley Ruger, Sophie Ruger, Nolan Ruger, Max Ruger, Tyler Nagy, Jacklynn Ruger, and Ethan Ruger; four siblings, Michaeleen Bastian, Andy Ruger, Matt Ruger, and Tracey Ortstadt; and many nieces and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Joy Sarles. Memorials may be directed to the family.
