Lorraine Schnabel

Lorraine Schnabel, 81, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long illness.

A celebration of life open house will be held on July 4, 2023.

Lorraine was born January 10, 1942, in Peoria, IL, to Meritt and Ruth (Gernentz) Davis. She married Thomas Schnabel on February 27, 1965 in Naperville, IL.

She enjoyed playing word games, doing crossword puzzles, and enjoying her home on the river. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially loved the holidays, Christmas and the 4th of July were her favorites

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Schnabel; her children, Butch (Vicki) Schnabel and Eileen (Gregory Lynch) Schnabel; her grandchildren, Kirk and Kai Lynch and Emma Schnabel; and her sisters, Elaine Davis and Carol Jeffries. She was preceded in death by her parents.
