Lola Sellers

Lola Sellers, 83, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Park Pointe Nursing Home in Morris.

Funeral Ceremony will be held at 7 pm, Tuesday, October 3 at Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Kim Wood officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, prior to the services, at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery at a later date.

Lola was born September 28, 1934 in Tiptonville, Tennessee to Shirley and Ruby (Miller) Fleming. She married Delmar Wayne Sellers on June 4, 1955 at St. Patrick's Church; he passed away April 20, 2014

Lola worked at Rivershores Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marseilles as an LPN for many years. She was a member of the Ottawa Women's Bowling League and the First Congregational Church in Ottawa.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Russ) McCalister of Morris and Valerie (Ronald) Alderson of Streator; two sons, Ernie Sellers of Streator and Joe (Kai) Sellers of Oxnard, CA; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Melissa (Keith) Lowe, Rebecca (Philip) Herschler, Donna (John) Baer, and Colleen (Don) Meier; and brothers, Richard Fleming and Randy Fleming.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Vicki Sellers; two sons, Kevin Lee and Matt Sellers; two grandsons, Kevin Lee Sellers, Jr., and Ron Alderson Jr; sisters, Shirley (John) Turner and Betty (Frank) Weatherly; and brothers, Larry (Edna) Martin, Charles Fleming, and William Fleming.
