Lois Progress

Lois M. Progress, 85, of Seneca passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Park Pointe Nursing Home. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am September 22, 2017 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Pastor Kris Zierke officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris. Lois was born July 14, 1932 in Morris, Illinois to Allen and Grace (Gedye) Dawson. She was a 1950 graduate of Seneca High School. She married John Progress on February 14, 1958 in New Lenox, Illinois; he passed away November 16, 2002. She retired from Union Carbide. She had a deep love for animals and was a practicing equestrian. She is survived by three sons, Robert Johnson, Mark (Cindi Hill) Progress, and Michael Progress; one step-daughter, Jackie (Terry) Stoner; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her half sister, Marion Dawson. Memorials may be directed to Joliet Hospice or Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
