Lois M. Johnson, 95, of Wedron, IL passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at her home. Funeral Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Seymour Halford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2008 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Ottawa Funeral Home. She was born to Victor P. and Buena (Alexander) Chase in Springbrook, WI. She married Delmar C. Johnson. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Wedron United Methodist Church. She took her nurses training at Ryburn King and then worked as a nurse in the Seneca Shipyards where she met Delmar. She then worked at Ryburn King and Community Regional Hospital of Ottawa as a night supervisor until she retired. She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Brooks of Wedron; three sons, Donald (Susan) Johnson of Sheridan, Dennis (Shirley) Johnson of Cleburne, Texas and James (Mary) Johnson of Ottawa; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy (Bill) Radtke of Peru and Lorraine Peters of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Victor Chase and Donald Chase; one sister, Lucille McAtee; one grandson, Dennis Brooks and one great-grandson, Jeremy Abernathy. Pall bearers will be Scott, Rory, Brent and Noel Brooks, Shawn Johnson and Doug Wold.
