Lilly "Lillian" I. Johnson, 101 of Ottawa, IL, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at her daughter-in-laws home in Ottawa. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday April 9, 2010 at the First Congregational Church, Rev. Douglas Williams and Rev. Lisa Hadler officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Lillian was born February 16, 1909 in West Point, Illinois to Joseph and Bessie (Jackson) Crear. She married George W. Johnson on November 23, 1927. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Newell of Ottawa; five sons George (Darlene) Johnson, Robert Johnson both of Ottawa, Richard (Sharon) Johnson of Utica, James (Karen) Johnson of Henry, IL , Kenneth (Mary) Johnson of Chillicothe, Il; her daughter-in-Law, Nancy Johnson of Ottawa; one son-in-law, Paul Hastings of Washburn, IL; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Edith Hastings; one son, Gary; one grandson, Kenneth Johnson; four sisters; and one brother. Pallbearers will be George, Rick, Nathan and Jamie Johnson, Doug and Brett Miller Paul Hasting and Steve Newell Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike, Johnny, Tim, Eric, Mark, Jeff and Kevin Johnson, Lennie and Jamie Newell Memorial may be made to donors choice.
