Leland D. "Lee" Soule, 85, of LaSalle passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
Lee was born in Greenfield, IL on April 14, 1936. He was a member of the United States Army, serving in Germany from August 1956-1958. He married Peggy L. (Rowe) on April 12, 1986, and they were married for 25 years before her passing on March 7, 2012.
Lee worked as a mechanic for the state of Illinois for over 25 years before his retirement. He had an appreciation for fast cars, and in his early years he participated in a few drag races. Lee was known by many for his love of bowling, and could often be found at the IV Super Bowl. He was an avid bowler for multiple local bowling leagues over the last 35 years, winning several trophies, rings, and awards.
He is survived by four children, Leland (Tina) Soule, Leann (Kenny) Flowers, Mark (Julie) Jenkins, and Jaime (Dave) Stoltzenburg; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lulu Soule; his first wife, Linda (Johnson); and his second wife, Peggy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lee's memory may be directed to the senior league at IV Super Bowl.
