OTTAWA -- Lawrence F. Anderson Jr., 84, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be later in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Anderson was born July 5, 1923, in Ottawa, to Lawrence and Mary (Reed) Anderson. He married Betty L. Delancy of Marseilles on Dec. 28, 1946, in Aurora. He retired from Stevenson Transfer and was a member of Ottawa Moose Lodge and Teamsters Local 722. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Dixie (Paul) Gage and Christine (David) Jensen, both of Ottawa, Vickie (Bill) Tinsley of Boonville, Mo., and Deborah (Brian) Woods of Utica; two sons, Lawrence "Chip" (Bernice) III and David "Randy" (Suellen), both of Ottawa; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Sedar, Phyllis Anderson and June Neurohr, all of Ottawa; and two brothers, Ben of Goodrich, Texas, and Ralph (Marge) of Streator. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Anderson and Marie Dennis; and three brothers, Harold, Richard and James.
