Larry Gould Sr.

Larry Gould Sr., 64, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 19, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Williams officiating. Visitation will be 2-6 PM Sunday, October 18, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Larry was born October 15, 1944 to Melvin and Veda (Bounds) Gould Sr. in Ottawa, Illinois. He worked at Libby Owens Ford, owned and operated Town and Country Disposal, and most recently was owner and operator of Prairie Lake Lodge in Marseilles, where he loved the game of golf. He was an avid car collector, who participated in car shows all over the country, where he won numerous awards. He was a member of the Ottawa Moose and Lyons Club. He is survived by his long time love, Marcy Monroe of Ottawa; his mother, Veda Gould of Ottawa; one son, Larry "Dewey" (Trisha) Gould of Ottawa; five grandchildren, Shayna, Caleb, Gannon, Noah, and Marcus; one brother, Chuck of Florida; and one sister, Sandra Lamm of Knoxville, TN. Larry is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Melvin "Punk" Gould Jr. Pallbearers will be Scott, Chuck Jr., Tony, Todd, Richard, and Ronald Gould. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Miskell, Donald Boyle, Gary Erickson, Richard "Zeke" Zemaitis, Pat Jackson, and Gilbert "Red" Gregory. Memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society.
