Lance Gabehart

Lance Charles Gabehart, 65 years of age, passed on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL.

Lance was born May 28, 1960 in Ottawa, IL. to Charles and LaVon (Bonnie Saltsman) Gabehart. He was the oldest of four boys and lived his entire life in Marseilles IL. He spent his work career as a laborer in the painters union.

Lance was never married and did not have children. He loved to be free and out riding and working on his motorcycles. He was a great friend with a big heart to the people he loved.

Lance leaves behind his parents Charles and LaVon (Bonnie) Gabehart, His three younger brothers,  Dean (Chris), Lee (Jeannie) and Lin (Stacey) Gabehart all of Marseilles as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins including Kim Emmett who was like his sister. He also left behind his sidekick Yorkie, Piper.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Lettie Gabehart and Freddie and Lucy Saltsman and several aunts and uncles.

Lance wished for no services but a Celebration of Life may be held at a later time.
