Kristine Simon

Kristine L.Simon, 72, of Ottawa, IL, died, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at her home. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be done privately, in Fairview Cemtetery in Dekalb, Illinois. Memorial Visitation will be from 1-2 pm, Saturday, March 21 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Kristine Simon was born August 29, 1936, in Dekalb, Illinois, to the late Thomas Knudtson and the late Irene Farrar. She married Simon Simon. He died March 5, 1998. She worked as a Community Mental Health Professional and has since retired. She is survived by 4 sons; Kurt of Vandalia, IL, Scott of O'Fallon, MO, Andrew (Mary Beth) of Carmel, IN,and Erik (Jennifer)Simon of Nyack, NY and nine Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister Rose Mary Birkenbine. Memorials may be directed to Doctors without Borders.
