Kingston Lockett

Kingston JD Lockett, 2, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Funeral ceremony will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 12, at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Allan Treest officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home.

Kingston was born September 7, 2020, in Ottawa, IL, to Jemal Lockett and Alivia Haws.

He loved Spiderman and dinosaurs and was the best dancer in Ottawa. He was also extremely protective of his big sister, Lillyanna. Anytime you saw him, his contagious smile and beautiful eyes lit up the room.

He is survived by his parents, Alivia Haws and Jemal Lockett; his sister, Lillyanna Nance; his maternal grandparents, Julia Valdez and David (Arrate) Haws; paternal grandma, Brandy Ruiz; maternal great grandparents, Laurie Haws and Sue McGregor; paternal great grandparents, Julie Ruiz; maternal aunts, Shaina Valdez and Hannah (Luke) Elmore; paternal uncle, James and Jessie Merritte; and numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Debra Adams, Anthony Adams, Freddy Valdez and David Haws; and paternal great grandpa, Larry Ruiz.
