Kimberly Ewers

Kimberly Lynn Ewers, 27, of Shabbona, died Sunday, Dec. 9, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ewers was born Feb. 24, 1980, in Ottawa, to Jeff and Toni (Todd) Hedgepath. She married Justin Ewers on Sept. 15, 2001, at St. Francis of Assisi Church Ottawa. Kim was an elementary parent's club treasurer and a T-ball and soccer coach. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and attended Illinois Valley Community College. She is survived by her parents, Jeff (Jacki) Hedgepath of Marengo and Toni Rosencrans of Ottawa; two sons, Cole Michael and Cody David; two sisters, Karly Rosencrans of Ottawa and Destini Hedgepath of Marengo; and her paternal grandmothers, Henrietta Hedgepath and Shirley Dhamer. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gene and Marilyn Todd; and her paternal grandfathers, Roy Hedgepath and Jim Dhamer. Pallbearers will be Randy and Mike Smith, Kevin Hedgepath, Eric Williams, Ron Leonard, Rod Rosencrans and Aaron Williams.
