Kimberly A. Cairns, 56, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Ottawa. Funeral Service for Kim will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, with Rodger Dauchy officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park. Kim was born July 24, 1956 in LaGrange, Illinois to Robert and Yvonne (Eichelkraut) Cairns. She is survived by a special friend, Joseph Minkler; her son, Jacob (Liz) Broadus; her grandchildren, Felicity, Cailyn, Lana, and expecting a grandson, Anson, in February; her siblings, Pam Burgwald of Ottawa, Bill (Rebecca) Cairns of Ottawa and Beth (Dave) Rawlins of Benton Harbor, MI; nephews, Matt and Ryan Burgwald and Robert Cairns; great nieces, Kaylee, Marissa and Reese Burgwald and Tyler Hougas; and great nephew, Nick Burgwald. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mae and William Cairns; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Evelyn Eichelkraut; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Kent Burgwald. Pallbearers will be Matt and Ryan Burgwald, Robert Cairns, Phillip Marshall, Robert Alaimo, and Joe Ramaino. Memorials may be directed to the family.
