Kevin P. Marek, 53, of Ottawa, IL passed away Wednesday February 10, 2010 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday February 15, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 2-5 Sunday February 14 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Kevin was born September 4, 1956 in Ottawa, IL to Gaylon and Lucille (Midnight) Marek. He married Linda Eisert September 10, 1977 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. He was a member and administrator for Local #960 Moose Lodge, a member of St. Columba and St. Patrick's Church, the (UAW) United Auto Workers, and was a lifetime member of Variety Riders. He loved to ride his Harley, fishing, and most of all, his grandchildren. Kevin is survived by his wife Linda; one daughter, Becky (Jimmy) Glade of Harding, IL; one son, Brad (Amy) Marek of Marseilles, IL; three grandchildren, Madelynn and Brynley Glade and Caleb Marek; two brothers, Keith (Ray) Marek of Chicago, IL and Mike Marek of Ottawa; one sister, Gay Ann (Harvey) Norwick of Ottawa; and his parents, Lucille and Gaylon Marek of Ottawa. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Alfred and Louise Midnight; and his mother and father in law, Charlie and Elaine Eisert. Pallbearers will be Matt Murry, Russell Mammen, Dennis Eisert, Mike DeBernardi, Rick Granados, Paul Wold and Harvey Norwick. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian DeBernardi, Brant DeBernardi, Charlie Eisert, and Brian "Rocky" Moline. Memorials may be directed to the family.
