Kenneth Wolfe

Kenneth W. Wolfe, 88, of Sarasota, FL, passed away Friday January 10, 2020 at his daughter’s home . Memorial Services will be at 3:00 pm January 21, 2020 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to Memorial at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Military Service. Burial will be in Grand Ridge Cemetery. Kenneth was born December 9, 1931, in Ottawa, IL, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Rausch) Wolfe, he married Betty Lou Shields on September 2, 1953, she died October 21 1994. Kenneth is a Korean War veteran. He served in the US Navy from January 5, 1951 to November 8, 1954 on the USS Porterfield. Kenneth was active in the VFW and served as the Commander for Post 2470 from 1969-70. He retired from LOF after 38 years in 1985. Upon his retirement he settled in Sarasota, FL.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Michele (Timothy) O'Brien of Englewood, FL; Patricia (John) Ebener of LaSalle, three sons, Steven of Jacksonville FL; David of Sarasota, FL; Kenneth (Janice) Wolfe of Ottawa; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister Carol (William) Kerwin of Broomfield, Colorado. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Michael in infancy and his sister Jean Less.
