Kenneth Harmon

Kenneth Harmon, 89, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at  The Pavilion of Ottawa.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 6:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Utica at a later date.

Kenneth was born November 16, 1933, in Ottawa, IL, to Charles and Genevieve (Pillion) Harmon. He married Judith Grot on January 26, 1957 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. She passed away November 29, 2022.

He worked for 47 years at Libby Owens. When he wasn't working, he could be found hunting or fishing at Pelican Lake in Orr, MN. He was also a part-time farmer, farming in Wallace and Waltham township. He enjoyed gardening and was a jack of all trades who loved to tinker, if it needed fixed, he could do it. He loved playing with his grandchildren. His whole life was his family, they were his everything.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Martin and Phil Harmon; his granddaughter, Ashley (Joe) Force; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Aubrey, Ella, and Paxton; and his sister, Mary Travi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judith Harmon; his son-in-law, William Martin; his nieces, Karen Harmon and Kristy Harmon; his nephew, Shane Elko; and his siblings, Clifford and Keith Harmon, Pat Elko, and Marilyn Callahan.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to the family.
