Keith Rorem

Keith C. Rorem, 75, of Ottawa, IL, died, Monday, December 20, 2010 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Schoon officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, Wednesday, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Keith was born, September 13, 1935, in Ottawa, to Clarence and Lucille(Burrows) Rorem. He married Marilyn Anderson on August 29, 1969 at the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. He retired from Ottawa Post Office October 31, 2009 after 50 years of service. He was a past member of the ODD Fellows and there Barber shop Quartet. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, one daughter Patti (Tony) Ferguson Morris, three sons Rance Rorem of Ottawa, Joe Mance of Rockford and Richard (Jody) White of Katy TX, four grandchildren Lindsay (Dan) Thomas, Garrett Aubry, Tabor Aubry and Tyler Rorem, one sister Carole (Don) Ledbetter of Ottawa and his loving dog Miss Coco Chanel "Coco". He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Rorem, Carl and Lucille VanDorn and his brother Bob Rorem. Pallbearers will be Rance, Erik and Tyler Rorem, Tabor & Garrett Aubry, Dan Thomas, and Tony Ferguson. Memorials may be directed to the family.
