Kathy Jo Boswell

Kathy Jo Boswell, 62, of Seneca, IL, passed away Saturday August 29, 2009 at her home. Funeral Services will be 12:00 pm Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca, IL with the Rev. Robert Parnell officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am-12:00 pm Thursday at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home, prior to services. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Kathy was born December 16, 1946 in Chicago, IL., to James and Katherine (Smith) Scott. She was a graduate of Lansing Memorial Junior High School and Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, IL. She married Charles "Chuck" Boswell in Chicago, IL., August 13, 1970. She also assisted in the formation of and was a member, of the United Country Band that played together for fifteen years. She played the guitar, mandolin, and electric bass guitar. She also co-wrote ten of the fifteen songs on the United Country Bands album. She will be loved and missed by family and friends for the rest of time. Kathy is survived by her husband; two sons, Patrick Allen and Sean Lee Boswell both of Lansing, IL.; one granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Boswell; one brother, Jim (Barb) Scott of Schererville, IN.; and her Mother, Katherine Snyder of Lansing, IL. She is preceded in death by her father. Memorials may be directed to the family.
