Kathryn Thorson

Kathryn Thorson, 92, of Ottawa, formerly of Morris, died Sunday, Jan. 4, at Pleasant View in Ottawa. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 6, 1916, in Ottawa, to Jeremiah J. and Johanna (Solon) Madigan. She married Clyde Thorson Dec. 4, 1953, in Joliet. He died July 7, 1995. She retired from the downtown Ottawa Sears Store and was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by two cousins, Kitty Solon and Ann Jane Flanigan both of Streator. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Solon. Pallbearers will be Everett, John, and George Solon, Luke and Christopher Wetmore, and Ron Janke. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
