Kathleen Shea

Kathleen Shea, 68, of Naplate, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

A visitation will be held on Monday July 7, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 7:00pm. The family requests that visitors wear bright, vibrant clothing in memory of Kathleen’s beautiful soul. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Kathleen was born on April 4, 1957, in Chicago, IL to Stephen and Mary (McQuaid) Shea. She was a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. For over 25 years through her business, Serenity on Wheels, Kathleen assisted hundreds of individuals, couples, children, and adolescents in working through their traumas to obtain healing and a healthier emotional life.

Kathleen enjoyed outdoor activities, exercise, drumming, crafts, and socializing with her many friends.

She is survived by her son, Sean Gordon; her siblings, Judy (Robert) Bando and Thomas (Vicki) Shea; her sister in law, Amy Shea; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many broken-hearted friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mary; and her siblings, Diane (Michael) Trevino, Timothy Shea, and Terrance Shea.

Memorial contributions in Kathleen's honor may be directed to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Research Foundation or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
