Kathleen Bumgarner

Kathleen "Kay" Bumgarner, 79, of Peru passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Private graveside services were held at St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites. Kay was born March 25, 1937 in Ottawa to Walter and Emma (Poutre) Rossiter. She married Ronald Bumgarner on May 4, 1957; he passed away January 20, 1998. Kay enjoyed bingo games and slot machines. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by six children, Kim (Mark) Kallner of Peru, Kayla (Gary) Yanko of Naplate, Kathy Wallgren of Peru, Kari (Brian) Repsel of LaSalle, Kevin (Hilary May) Bumgarner of N.Haverhill, NH; and Kurt Bumgarner of Peru; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Mucci and Alyce Erickson; one brother, Donald (Diz) Rossiter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Evelyn Orsini; four brothers, Robert "Bob" Rossiter, Harold "Toot" Rossiter, and Walter Jr. "Junie" Rossiter, and a baby brother in infancy; her nephew, Donald Mucci; and her niece, Cindy Erickson.
