Katherine Worsley

Katherine Worsley, 87, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory prior to services. She will be buried in St. Columba Cemetery. Katherine was born November 29, 1926 in Little River, Kansas to Alex and Katherine (Gryzbek) Skill. She married Everett Worsley on July 9, 1946 in St. Columba. He passed away June 15, 2003. Katherine was a member of St. Columba Church and Legion of Mary. She was a graduate of St. Xavier High School. She retired from The Daily Times. She is survived by three daughters; Pat (Tom) Hill of Albuquerque NM, Kathy (Barry) Cunico of Ottawa, and Nancy (Scott) Roberts of Arvada CO.; three sons, Robert (Mary) Worsley of Broomfield CO., Joe Worsley of Elk Grove CA., and Paul (Beth) Worsley of Ottawa; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, her husband, Everett C. Worsley; five brothers; three sisters; and her grandson, Joseph Cunico in 2011. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bill Cunico, Brett, Drew & Zak Worsley, Jordan Hill, and her great granddaughters, Evee and Emmy Cunico. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Roberts, Genedavid and Mike Monterastelli, Dan, Dave, Dale and Tom Skill. Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Building fund or Vitas Hospice.
