Katherine M. Sibert, 89, of Spring Valley formerly Ottawa, IL, passed away Sunday June 6, 2010 at Spring Valley Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM June 9, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services June 9 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Katherine was born February 17, 1921, in Crystal City, MO, to Raymond and Elizabeth (Boyer) Fast. She married William Parnell Sibert Sr. March 29, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa. He died May 16, 1982. She was a life member of the VFW and St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. She was a self employed beautician for over thirty years. Katherine is survived by two daughters, Judy (Eugene) Moran of Granville, IL, and Sharon Biagoni of Ottawa; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Carrier, Darlene Walker, and Norma McNamara, all of Ottawa, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; one son, William Parnell Sibert Jr.; and a sister, Bonnie Westphal-Sexton. Pallbearers will be Aaron Biagoni, Tony and Debbie LeBeau, Jean Moran, Andrew Goodbread, and Deb Williams. Honorary pallbearers will Genia Kaye and Becki LeBeau. Memorials may be directed to the family.
