Katherine M. Posey

Katherine M. Posey, 58, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home.

Memorial Services will be at 10 am, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Corey Krengiel officiating. Visitation will be from 9 am to 10 am, prior to the services, at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be 3:00 - 5:00 Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Posey's Steam Room in Panacea, Florida. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Katherine was born July 6, 1960, in Ottawa to Donald and Judy (Clark) Purcell. She worked at Kroger for the past two years, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and floral arranging.

She is survived by her children, Justin (Cassandra Scott) Duggan of Marseilles, Brandon Posey, and Georgia Posey, both of Panacea, Florida; one granddaughter, Bailey Posey; three siblings, Clark (Jennifer) Purcell, Patti Purcell, and Brian Purcell; and her father, Don Purcell.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy; and one brother, Ronnie Purcell.
